SCB welcomes Crewe Town Deputy Mayor

SCB were delighted to welcome Crewe Town Council Deputy Mayor, and Mayor elect, Councillor Marilyn Houston to the workshop this week. Councillor Houston had visited the workshop some 16 years previously and was interested to learn how the charity had progressed and developed through the succeeding years. The Deputy Mayor showed great interest in the activities being carried out, commented on the positive atmosphere being generated, and interacted openly with service users during her tour as they proudly demonstrated roles. Prior to the Deputy Mayor’s departure service users posed for a group photograph and expressed their thanks for her interest and visit by giving a rousing ‘three cheers’. In response Councillor Houston thanked everyone for making her feel welcome and wished everyone well for the future.
