2024 Parents and Carers Survey: Key Findings and Insights

At SCB, we highly value the input of parents and carers, whose feedback helps shape and improve our services. In March 2024, we conducted a Parent and Carer Survey to assess satisfaction levels, communication, and areas for potential growth. The results highlight the vital role SCB plays in the lives of both our service users and their families.

Key Findings

  • Excellent Communication: 10 respondents rated SCB’s communication as excellent, with others rating it as good or average.
  • Meeting Expectations: 100% of parents and carers felt that SCB met or exceeded their expectations.
  • Routine and Independence: Parents value the structured routine SCB provides, which gives their loved ones a sense of purpose and belonging.
  • Social Events: Many respondents requested more frequent social events, suggesting one every two months.
  • Skills Development: 92% of parents said their loved one had improved in skills and social interactions since attending SCB.
  • Safety and Wellbeing: The majority of parents highlighted SCB as a safe and supportive environment where their loved ones feel secure and valued.
  • Future Learning Programmes: While 5 respondents expressed interest in a certified in-house skills programme, 6 were unsure, indicating a need for further discussion.
