Welcome to Supported Community Business (Special Needs) Ltd. We are a registered Charity that supports individuals with special needs by providing a therapeutic workshop where they can experience real work tasks in a controlled and supportive environment.

Our workshop not only helps our service users to experience the world of work but also provides reliable packaging services for businesses. Our ultimate aim is to enable our Service Users to progress to supported employment and ultimately open employment.

And as many of our Service Users could be one of the 6.8 million disabled people of working age in the UK who are five times more likely to be out of work than a non-disabled person… this matters.
At SCB, we understand that many of those 6.8 million just want to be a part of the working world, but feel that as a society those needs are often not accommodated.

That’s why SCB aims to make a difference to the lives of some of those people. Since we were established we’ve helped over 60 people to experience a real working day.  This has helped them to develop working abilities including knowledge and understanding of the workplace whilst building valuable social skills that are transferable to life outside the workplace too.

Whilst we’ve seen our Service User’s confidence and abilities grow, we’ve also enjoyed the trust and belief of our commercial clients to deliver a great service.
