Race Night Success

A near sell out crowd gathered at Crewe Golf Club in late October for an entertaining Race Night, to help raise funds for the workshop. Those in attendance were treated to eight close fought races, some involving photo finishes, keeping everyone cheering to the post. Race six invited bids from those present to own one of the pre-named horses. After some hard fought bidding the winning owner was David Eldridge, who had successfully bid on the winning horse, Handy Mandy.  Race eight gave the opportunity to win a £100, by predicting the first three past the post. Sheila Edwards was the lucky recipient, with her winnings being collected by her son, an SCB service user.

In total £1,563.70 was raised from the evening, a truly magnificent effort.
In appreciation all associated with SCB wish to thank all those who attended the event, all the individual sponsors of horses and jockeys, and all corporate package sponsors: – The Salt Company, Crewe Orlando, Alexander Paper Supplies, JM Cars, Gateway Peugeot Crewe, Dajasan, O’Hara Accountants, Crewe & Nantwich Domestics. Without your support and backing the evening would not have been such a success. Keep your eyes peeled for the next ‘Race Night’ and come along for an evening of fun!
